This role is part of a strategic digital transformation initiative within the financial sector, focused on building scalable, resilient, and innovative backend solutions. You will contribute directly to the design and evolution of mission-critical systems supporting products such as current accounts and insurance platforms. Working in an agile and collaborative environment, you will engage with multidisciplinary squads to develop high-performance microservices and event-driven architectures. The position requires strong technical expertise, as well as active participation in architectural decisions, product discovery, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will also play a key role in ensuring system reliability, quality, and scalability in a highly regulated and fast-evolving financial ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend solutions while contributing to technical strategy and system evolution within financial product squads.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend solutions using Java and microservices architecture.
• Build scalable and high-performance systems aligned with financial industry requirements.
• Participate in technical decision-making processes alongside engineering and product teams.
• Contribute to the discovery phase and definition of new products and features.
• Develop solutions with strong test coverage, including unit and integration testing.
• Perform code reviews and promote best practices in software engineering and clean code.
• Support production incident analysis and troubleshooting in collaboration with support teams.
• Improve architecture, processes, and technology stack continuously.
• Work with event-driven and asynchronous architectures to ensure system resilience and scalability.

Requirements:

This position requires strong backend development expertise, particularly in Java ecosystems, microservices, and distributed systems within financial environments.

• Strong experience with Java (version 11 or higher).
• Solid knowledge of Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
• Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
• Knowledge of asynchronous communication patterns and messaging systems such as Kafka.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
• Familiarity with cloud environments, especially Azure.
• Strong understanding of Clean Code principles, SOLID, and design patterns.
• Experience with agile methodologies and collaborative team environments.
• Background in financial sector projects is required.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) and observability tools (Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus) is a plus.
• Knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, SQS, SNS, S3) is considered a differential.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, proactivity, and collaboration skills.
