Dev Ops Engineer- Remote

Whitebox Technologies, a rapidly growing Baltimore based e-commerce startup, is looking for a Software Engineer with a passion for DevOps to join our engineering organization. As a DevOps Software Engineer, we are looking for someone who is driven, collaborative and excited about enabling our mission to move our clients forward in achieving our client's ecommerce goals and continually improve our environment for software development.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of the Whitebox team, you will be

• Designing, developing, and implementing DevOps best practices
• Continuing to improve Whitebox's CI/CD pipeline
• Contributing to the implementation of Whitebox's next generation architecture using Cloud native technologies
• Leveraging key Devops Technologies to implement business critical solutions
• Participating in various engineering engagements, e.g. Proof of Concepts, project delivery for key initiative, manage 3rd party contractors

Qualifications

• Be able to work with minimal supervision, make decisions based upon priorities and organization initiatives
• Apply critical thinking to all aspects of the position
• Detail oriented with excellent documentation and communication skills
• Able to successfully manage multiple priorities
• 5+ Years Experience with DevOps related automation tools to include, but not limited to: source mgmt (e.g. GIT, CodeCommit); continuous integration (e.g Terraform, Jenkins), application configuration management (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Ansible) and container management tools
• At least 2-4 years of experience with GCP DevOps
• 3+ years of hands-on experience working on Docker, GCP console, Kubernetes in GCP (GKE) technologies.
• Experience with Infrastructure automation (Terraform, Cloud formation) is a plus
• via Gitlab CI
• Deeply technical. You understand application architecture and can design, implement and support highly available systems.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
