Developer

The Developer job performs installation, configuration, and maintenance of information technology (IT) software and hardware for multi-user server computers. Working independently under general supervision, this job maintains end user needs by ensuring the uptime; performance, resource availability, and security of the computers are within established operational guidelines.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Performs routine analysis during normal information technology (IT) infrastructure operation, including on networks, firewalls, servers, operating systems, applications and devices.
  • Supports the acquiring, installing, and upgrading computer components and software and planning for service outages and other problems.
  • Maintains the automation of routine tasks using scripting and writing basic computer programs to address more complex systems software configuration and enhancement.
  • Implements domain solutions and executes changes in line with the implementation plan.
  • Helps senior domain administrators with trouble shooting of day-to-day domain issues.
  • Configures servers and associated routers to ensure their smooth and reliable operation.
  • Creates documentation as it relates to domain configuration, routing, processes, and service records.
  • Updates current documentation of all equipment under operational control.
  • Seeks advice from senior management regarding challenging technical projects and other problems that require deeper understanding.

TIAA has an opportunity for a Developer to join their End User Services Collaboration Technology team. This team explores, promotes and develops technology to enable the organization to achieve high levels of productivity and efficiency. To further drive these efforts, the team is seeking a talented and driven individual to serve as a Developer on the team. In this role, the ideal candidate will build apps, interfaces, reports and automation across a broad range of Microsoft tools & technologies while serving as a key member on a high-performing Agile sprint team.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Design and develop technical solutions leveraging tools like Microsoft 365, Power Platform and other related Microsoft products and services.
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex codebases for resolution of defects
  • Analyze and recommend technical solutions for best fit.
  • Perform Unit testing applications prior to release for QA.

Required Skills

  • 2 or more years of experience focused on application development

Preferred Skills

  • 1 or more years of experience with web development fundamentals including Javascript, HTML and CSS
  • Experience developing within the Microsoft ecosystem
  • Experience building Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate Flows, or other low-code systems
  • Experience working with REST API's
  • Knowledge of React components
  • Experience with building reports and dashboards using Power BI
  • Experience using Agile methodology and familiarity with developing using SDLC principles
  • Understanding of Cloud development strategy using Azure or AWS
  • Experience developing web parts and extensions using the SharePoint Framework
  • Experience customizing SharePoint
  • Experience in C# with building .Net components
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with relational databases including SQL Server
  • Experience with DevOps including CI/CD and GIT
  • Knowledge of Dataverse

Base Pay Range: $61,900/yr. - $103,100/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
