Developer

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Quantitative Trader
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Parallax is looking to add a developer to our team.  This position will use industry leading best practices to develop systems and analysis capabilities in the field of algorithmic trading.  

Specific Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Work with software engineers and traders to enhance existing infrastructure and develop new functionality to support Trading and Research including:

• Equities and Futures Trading Systems
• Trading Algorithms
• Data analysis of trading activity
• Back testing infrastructure

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or other quantitative field of study
• 2 years development experience
• Financial services experience a plus, but not required
• Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, quality, innovation and continuous improvement
• Must be a U.S citizen or authorized to work in the U.S on a permanent basis

TECHNICAL ABILITIES/PROGRAMS:

• Experience with Java & Spring Framework required
• Proficient in Unit testing & test frameworks
• SQL a plus, but not required

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

• Strong aptitude and interest in software development
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to be resourceful and work effectively as a team player
• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies
