Developer Apprenticeship

Are you a hard-working, self-starter who is passionate about beginning a career in software development? If so, Prodege's Developer Apprenticeship Program might be for you! We're looking for applicants with minimal software development experience to go through our paid program with the goal of becoming a full-fledged developer by the end of the training process.
We're currently seeking candidates who show a strong drive and keen ability to learn and who want to begin a career in software development. We are looking for a cohort of six individuals to start the program on or around October 31, 2022 (exact date will be solidified during the interview process); applicants must be able to work Full TIme (8 hours a day/40 hours week) Monday - Friday and work on-site daily in one of our offices in either El Segundo, CA, Brooklyn, NY or Mendota Heights, MN. This is a paid training program including benefits and starting compensation is $20.00/hr. Employees will progress through various stages of learning and milestones with corresponding compensation increases dependent on performance.
The training curriculum will consist of a mixture of lecture time and actual project work with additional time for self-learning. As the program progresses, core software development work will become a bigger part of the day-to-day responsibilities. Ideally, upon completion of the first 12-16 weeks, apprentices are expected to be fully embedded and core contributing members to one of our 7 tech teams.
We're seeking applicants that have:

• A strong ability to problem solve
• Solid communication and analytical skills
• A sincere interest and curiosity in software development
• Dabbled in the basics of programing in some language
• Are self-motivated and determined to succeed
• Ability to work full time (40 hours a week/8 hours a day) and work onsite at one of our offices
• Are authorized to work in the US on a regular, full time basis

It's preferred if applicants have:

• Basic understanding or knowledge of coding principles
• Some basic working code
• Basic understanding the roles and responsibilities of:
  • Backend code
  • Front end code
  • Databases
