 We are looking for Developer for 9 months fixed term contract role and you will be responsible for researching, designing, and managing software programs. You will test and evaluate new applications, identify areas for improvement, and develop enhancements. Key responsibilities include writing and implementing efficient code and deploying tools and processes to measure and optimize program effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in all Agile Scrum development ceremonies.
• Works as part of a team to understand, breakdown, size and implement user stories.
• Consults on designs to identify and reduce complexity wherever possible. Takes desired qualities into account from requirements (robustness, performance, re-usability etc.).
• Follow Class Ltd coding practices and design patterns.
• Code meets required standards of quality, including efficiency, maintainability, reliability, and terseness and fitness for purpose.
• Tests programs appropriately during and after construction. Balances testing effort according to the risk of changes. Uses appropriate testing techniques. Works together with testers to ensure the application is sufficiently tested (and testable).
• Is responsive to production issues as required.
• Uses development tools effectively. e.g. Visual Studio, Stash, JIRA, Bamboo etc.
• Follows Class Ltd. development processes. Suggests improvements where appropriate.
• Keeps the team informed of progress. Escalates issues appropriately when roadblocks are reached. Manages time efficiently and is considerate of the time of others.

• Required Skills:
• Demonstrated proficiency in C# and .NET Core 3.0 (or higher), with a focus on collaboration and growth.
• Experience working with .NET Framework 4.6 or higher, embracing both challenge and learning.
• A strong foundation in MVC and ASP.NET, with an eye for creating intuitive and user-friendly web applications.
• Practical experience with Docker, contributing to team efforts in containerization and deployment.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS (though experience with Azure or GCP is also valued), with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
• Understanding of message queue systems, supporting seamless communication within distributed systems.
• Expertise in microservice architecture, valuing adaptability and resilience in design.
• Commitment to Test-Driven Development (TDD), with a conscientious approach to delivering high-quality code.
