Schrodinger, Inc. seeks a Developer II for its New York, NY location.
Duties: Work on collaboration platform, LiveDesign, an enterprise application built using React on the front end and Java on the back end. Lead and collaborate closely within a cross-functional agile team composed of product designers, developers, and testers to deliver features and functionality that meet business and product goals. Design, build and test high performance, distributed components in problem areas including but not limited to data aggregation, transformation, reporting and large-scale computations for a collaborative multi-user application. Architect and implement robust, maintainable solutions. Implement unit tests and integration tests to drive development. Participate in peer review of code that encourages learning and high code quality. Maintain and improve the backend architecture of LiveDesign by engineering new features, development of background restandardization systems, resolving bugs, and developing tests.
Requirements: Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus 2 years of technical work experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or closely related occupation. Work experience must include: Software development and design; web technologies (HyperText Markup Language, Cascading Style Sheets, JavaScript Object Notation), and Programming with languages used by web browsers (Javascript, Typescript). May work from home but must be able to report to New York, New York office at least 2 days per week. Salary is $130,000 to $153,000 per year DOE.
