The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) organization has a mission to create marketplace demand and drive commerce for American Express through differentiated and innovative products, partnerships, marketing, and customer experiences.

The Developer will bring the client partner and creative team's vision to life by delivering high-quality defect-free digital assets that meet the project specifications and timeline.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the design team to develop the overall look and design of digital assets (landing pages, emails, banners, etc.)
- Writing code for digital platforms using HTML, CSS, and Javascript
- Building responsive HTML emails for various email clients
- Creating digital assets using modular self-serve tools and WYSIWYG editors
- Content entry and maintenance using content management systems
- Producing, maintaining, and modifying websites and user interfaces
- Ensuring digital assets display and behave as expected across all supported operating systems, devices, browsers, and email clients
- Adhering to brand guidelines and industry best practices for speed, ease of use, accessibility, and other quality factors
- Troubleshooting and bug fixes for email and web compatibility
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of development experience
- Strong front-end and/or full-stack development skills
- Ability to code HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, & JavaScript
- Experience with Bootstrap 4+ or equivalent CSS framework
- Experience with Litmus, Email on Acid, or equivalent email testing tools
- Comfort using Photoshop, Sketch, Adobe XD, and others to extract digital assets
- Comfortable with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies
- Fluent with content management systems (e.g. WordPress, Drupal, Adobe Experience Manager)
- Experience with SalesForce or similar CRM/Email Deployment System, implementing dynamic content and merge fields
- Ability to work with a Project Management tool (e.g., Workfront)
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SalesForce AMPScript
- Experience in RESTful API Design, API scaling, monitoring, logging, and optimization
- Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Working knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, ReactJS, Vue)
