THE ROLE
Firewalk Studios is looking for a Developer Support Specialist who is interested in applying their skills to help bring exceptional entertainment to millions of players. As our Developer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for closely working with one or more disciplines in a support role to ensure they are running efficiently. You will handle a combination of content creation, bug fixing, production support, testing, and cross team communication with the goal of keeping teams healthy, functional, and transparent to the rest of the studio.

WHAT YOUR DAY MIGHT LOOK LIKE

• Working with Production Director creating a plan to improve our release process.
• Coordinating with testers to ensure our development team is getting embedded test support.
• Working with production and test coordinating our playtests and improving on that process.
• Supporting development teams in the game engine with bug fixes and/or low level content set up needs.
• Bridging communication gaps between departments, especially between production and their embedded team/s.
• Working with embedded team to prune team JIRA backlog.
• Advocating broadly to plan development support strategies

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient in Jira or equivalent task and bug tracking system
• Strong communication skills to collaborate across disciplines.
• Experience working cross discipline to help solve problems
• Demonstrable ability to have important conversations and reach good outcomes for all parties involved
• Experience owning accountability and responsibilities with a team and working with them when there are gaps
• Experience with the production cycle of competitive multiplayer games is a big plus.
