POSITION: Development Lead- Market and Reference Data 

LOCATION: Hybrid work environment with both remote and in-person work schedule.  

JOB FUNCTION

The Development Lead – Market and Reference Data will work closely with a team of senior developers, business analysts, and business users at the firm. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead a developer focused on market data acquisition, data modeling, and master data management.
  • Design, develop, deploy, and support .NET Core microservices developed to process and share data throughout the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with all business partners to ingest, model and build controls around all master data.
  • Research and identify new sources of market data to fit business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

A successful candidate must have:

  • Good knowledge of instruments across multiple asset classes including equity, credit, and rates products.
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg and Reuters data and APIs.
  • Experience with master data management, data governance, and associated principles.
  • 10+ of experience building software in an object-oriented language.
  • 3+ years of management or team lead experience.
  • A domain driven design strategy and philosophy.
  • Proficiency with our tech stack: C# microservices, Angular web apps, SQL Server.
  • A focus on clean code and automated tests, grounded in strong CS fundamentals.
  • Passion for technology and software design, with pride of ownership and drive to keep a high bar.
  • Comfort working independently through complexity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communications skills, a great attitude, and the ability to build strong working relationships.

The ideal candidate may also have:

  • Experience working in a buy-side asset manager or other financial services firm.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for keeping up with new tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of software design patterns and common anti-patterns.
  • Experience with implementing GraphQL or similar API query language.
