Development Operations (DevOps) Engineer

Job Overview:

The Development Operation Engineer will provide support in developing new or enhancing existing supplier data ETL process. Working with our supplier management and on-boarding teams on processing and validating our supplier transactions.

• Contributes to the design and development of new features and applications
• Designs, architects and implements new technologies and software to strengthen the company's on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure
• Creates standardized software development environments
• Optimizes processing flows and times
• Manages assigned product
• Serves in a product support role, including availability for support calls
• Identifies and implement root cause fixes to program, system and/or applications errors
• Develops automated systems for deployment, monitoring and fault tolerance
• Helps improve software deployment, monitoring and development processes
• Performs maintenance, upgrades, and migrations
• Provides tools and best practices to support the entire software development lifecycle
• Collaborates with others across the organization to solve problems and build better processes, systems, and software

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or Business Administration, or equivalent experience required
• 3-5 years systems analysis experience required
• Advanced proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries, SQL/Oracle
• Knowledge of:
  • Linux command line tools
  • Power Point and Excel
  • .NET framework.
  • ESP
• Experience working with large enterprise wide-systems and databases
• Demonstrated ability to understand client requirements as well as underlying infrastructure applications, systems and processes to enable execution of those skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with multiple user groups
• Ability to work independently in addition to working well with peers
• Ability to exercise judgment and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and follow up skills
• Excellent time management skills, ability to manage several projects with overlapping schedules
• Ability to learn new information and quickly build a knowledge base
• Proficiency with Excel & Power point
• Ability to use Jira and Confluence for documentation and reporting services
• Understanding Heath care/life sciences domain is nice to have
