Through the power of storytelling and relationship building, the Development Programs Associate will manage various activities and programs that support the fundraising priorities of Cleveland Clinic. The Development Programs Associate will collaborate with program leadership and fundraisers to create and implement fundraising strategies and connect donors with meaningful ways to fulfill their philanthropic goals.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Develops expertise to lead a focused development program.
  • Creates, develops and executes donor communications and engagement plans, projects or programs.
  • Coordinates donor interests with the priorities of the organization.
  • Assists in fundraising initiatives, programs and events in alignment with the Philanthropy Institute's goals.
  • Proactively innovates within area of responsibility and approaches work with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provides various support activities for the fundraising team, including writing, gathering research and compiling other information that may aid in the fundraising process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

Languages:

  • English required

Certifications:

  • None required

Complexity of Work:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in development, communications, sales, marketing, or another related field with emphasis on building relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • candidates must have at least 1 year of professional experience in a nonprofit setting or working within fundraising

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
