Development Project Manager

The Development Project Manager will be responsible for cradle-to-grave management of multiple multifamily development projects throughout the Southeast, coordinating and managing all necessary project resources from start to finish to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. The job will specifically include working with the company’s vertically-integrated acquisition, development, property management and general contracting/construction teams to assure proper job coordination and timing.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with acquisition team on timing-related contract issues to assure ability to perform within designated timelines
• Working with investment team to make sure debt and equity requirements are met
• Working with development services team on entitlement, due diligence and plans and specifications for horizontal and vertical development
• Working with development services and construction teams to assure that projects stay on time and on budget
• Working with property management group on design, rental rates and unit turnover
• Communicating job expectations, enforcing policies & procedures, and managing & coaching colleagues.
• Being a strategic problem solver who can add value to our company's projects.
• Coordinate correspondence between the design, development and construction teams
• Managing budget and financial reporting, interpreting and analyzing reports to ensure adherence to project budget.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management experience
• Experience working on multifamily or large commercial construction projects
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or relevant degree
• Procore experience preferred
• Developed thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project success
• Maintains good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with anyone from clients to subcontractors
