Let's talk about the team
The Propeller product team is a team of highly motivated, mission-driven individuals who share the bold aspiration of transforming digital health. It is a group of people committed to using their talents, skills, and abilities to improve human lives through the solutions we collaborate to create. We are committed to fostering learning and growth in one another and as a group. We understand that experimentation, learning, and iterating are an important part of growth in individuals, processes, and products. Our approach is collaborative, transparent, and focused on solving real problems. We like to work hard, share and celebrate the outcomes we help create, and understand the importance of having fun.
Let's talk about the role
Reporting to the Director of Product, Propeller is looking for a solutions-oriented experienced product manager who will lead a cross-functional team to build & integrate Propeller's proprietary and partner devices.
This REMOTE role requires a long-term thinker with proven success in building reliable and extensible devices and software solutions. Additionally, this commercially aligned and product driven product manager will work in partnership with the broader product management and a dedicated engineering team to ruthlessly prioritize and maintain a backlog of device and software solutions as well as with our quality and regulatory team to ensure the quality and compliance of solutions. This will require a creative and experimental thinker who can test ideas and build support for new concepts across teams.
While working backwards from customers' workflows, you will own and drive towards long-term goals to solve customers' problems and use analytics and a data driven approach to build a long-form narrative of the product vision. This will include, but not limited to, user stories, user requirements specifications, PRFAQs (press release and frequently asked questions), and DDPs (design and development plans) as a mode of informing product teams and stakeholders of the product vision.
Let's talk about you

- 3-5 years of working in a Product or equivalent role
- BA and equivalent experience
- Experience building connected devices and integrated software solutions (e.g. connected medical devices, IOT) that support both mobile and web applications.
- Experience delivering measurable solutions that solve real product and customer problems.
- Experience and comfort implementing with Agile methodologies.
- Understanding of user-centered design, aligning the product solution with the user need vs. the other way around.

- Data driven & result oriented.
- Have a practical buy vs. build approach and want to be an important part of 3rd party vetting. Tailor the solution to the size of the business opportunity and realize when a product offering already exists that would satisfy a potential opportunity.

- Collaborate with Project Managers, Regulatory, Legal, Privacy, Security, other PMs and technical leads on the DDP.
- Facilitate discovery workshops, user research, and ongoing interaction with key stakeholders to develop functional (regulatory and market based) and non-functional (UX, scalability, performance, supportability and reliability) requirements.
- Collaborate with Program Management to help plan and manage risk.
- Lead internal alignment with executive leadership team and be responsive to market data from Life Science and Commercial teams.
- Understand the importance of security, reliability, and ease of use of solutions to product end-users who depend on the solutions you will create.
- A self-starter. Once given a direction, you are prepared to act as a true owner of your functional area.
