DevOps Architect

At UWM, DevOps Architects collaborate with application development and operation teams to create new tools, implement new frameworks, introduce automation and conduct proof of concepts for new technologies. We operate in an Agile environment, with two-week sprints, and work towards a CI/CD model. Join UWM as an DevOps Architect and you'll be able to make a positive impact on how people purchase a home.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Required:

• Computer-related degree or equivalent
• 7 years overall production IT experience, with 1-2 years in the DevOps space
• Strong familiarity and experience with IT infrastructure innovations, trends, methods and best practices
• Automating promotion processes across environments
• Knowledge in database tier
• Micro service pattern knowledge
• TFVC and/or GIT knowledge
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Comfortable in a fast-moving environment
• Ability to multitask and adapt
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Onsite, full-time attendance

Preferred:

• Knowledge of the following systems:
• Build systems
• Code deployment systems
• Container orchestration systems
• Configuration as code systems
• Scripting framework

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Assisting in designing the DevOps domain at UWM
• Ensuring the effective operation of the Production IT infrastructure - including but not limited to system operation, reliability, availability, performance, monitoring, job automation, hardware, software and configuration of our DevOps pipelines
• Developing automated processes (DevOps) for managing code promotion from Development and QA to Production systems
• Maintaining awareness of, and expertise in, the latest production IT trends, issues and requirements
• Continually looking to introduce innovations that improve our IT infrastructure (commensurate with the needs of the business)
