ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Tyler Managed Detection and Response (MDR) DevOps Architect is a leader-level position responsible for high-level designs and framing technical standards for a 24hr/365-day threat detection system. Design and build new detection techniques and bring them to market for Tyler clients. Develop solutions for the Tyler portfolio using artificial intelligence and machine learning to monitor and alert the Tyler client base of potential malicious activity. Identify inefficiencies and improve automation in data processing and collection while ensuring scalability.

Primary working hours: 7:00AM - 3:30PM.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Drive innovative technology and detection methods utilizing all aspects of Tyler MDR.
• A deep understanding of DevOps techniques
• Work across multiple Tyler products building and coordinating new monitoring services.
• Research and evaluate new threat trends and implement within our security framework.
• Remain up to date on current information security trends and research techniques in the industry.
• Excel in time management skills.
• Function effectively in a team environment.
• Have excellent written and verbal skills.
• Provide additional assistance as needed when staffing or workload issues arise.
• Other duties as assigned by Tyler MDR leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Associate degree in technology, information systems, or related field.
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning technologies.
• Experience in Operating and Database Systems (Windows OS, Linux, SQL Server).
• Experience in writing programs or scripts to aid in analysis (VB, C#, Python, PowerShell).
• Understanding of Network technologies.
• Understanding of Sysmon and how to analyze the data to further detection techniques.
• Strong drive to experiment and lead a team to create new and exciting methods for Tyler MDR.
• Experience in creation of threat detection methods and analysis.
• Excellent grammar, verbal, and communication skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of Regular Expressions and usage within the Tyler MDR framework.
• Familiarity with the MITRE AT&CK Framework.
• CISSP or equivalent certification preferred.
