DevOps Consultant

Introduction
IBM Application Consultants work directly with our clients on key initiatives. You will have the opportunity to build an in-depth understanding of their business issues and implement organizational strategies that drive adoption of change. We are looking for experts who can build credibility and trust with our clients and provide knowledge that addresses individual and unique business needs.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Possesses skills in popular DevOps automation tools, can perform installation and configuration of these tools on cloud or non-cloud infrastructure.
• Understands the project and application context and accordingly configure the DevOps tools, setup continuous integration for automated and continuous builds, develop build script & versioning, build packaging and deployment on the server, and setup continuous testing.
• Has knowledge of software engineering processes, coding (Java, Shell, Python), DevOps best practices, SDLC processes.

• Install, configure and intergate opensource devops toolchains (Git, Jenkins, Maven, Ansible etc.)
• Build and manage pipelines using the toolchains
• Ensure that pipelines are up and running during agreed business hours
• Strong Pyspark (python and spark) development experience using multiple RDDMS such as (Hive, DB2)
• Strong working environment in unix scripting
• Strong knowledge using data sets
• Knowledge of software engineering processes, coding (Java, Shell, Python), DevOps
• Experience with automating cloud

• Above average to excellent communication skills
• Accepting undergraduates
