DevOps Engineer
Required Skills:
- Must have development experience in Java using Spring Boot
- 50/50 blend of DevOps and pure Development experience (okay if they have been developers in the past and moved to DevOps role - but must understand that they will be required to code)
- Must have knowledge of Cloud Foundry and/or AWS
- Must be able to code in Java, JavaScript and display strong expertise in shell and/or python.
- Must have knowledge on cloud based platforms like Cloudfoundry and/or AWS.
- Must have basic knowledge on linux based systems -facility with command-line utilities; familiarity with system administration tools and concepts a plus.
- Standard CI/CD tools experience - GoCD, Concourse, Jenkins, TeamCity, etc.
- 4+ years Java/JEE Development
- 2+ years of working on CI/CD/DevOps technologies like containerization
- 2+ years of experience in docker or Kubernetes Core Responsibilities
- Design, engineer and implement solutions for deploying and maintaining cloud based infrastructure
- Hands on development on WebServices (REST and/or SOAP based)
- Display in-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.
- Development of APIs and reusable component utilizing Java/JEE technologies in a large scale, complex enterprise application platform
- Design and build CI/CD pipelines to automate the process of deploying microservices and supporting/underlying platforms.
- Develops software update process for existing applications. Assists in the roll-out of software releases.
- Work with architects, developers and QA throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging automation.
- Working in Agile environment with Agile team and participate in story grooming, creating story tasks and estimating the same
Requirements:
- Great team player, experience working with mid to large teams and cross functional teams
- Communicate effectively within and across the team
- Participate in release deployment, troubleshooting and triaging
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Hands on core Java, JavaScript and Shell scripting Hands on development on Java, J2EE technologies
- Hands on development on WebServices (REST and/or SOAP based) and WebService Security Test Driven Development (JUnit, Wiremock, Powermock or Mockito)
- Experience working with Oracle preferred Proficiency in the following general areas: Java, Unix Scripting, Spring Boot, Github, Gradle Good understanding and hands on XML, JSON, XML Schema Experience in docker and/or Kubernetes
