Core10 is seeking a driven and knowledgeable DevOps Engineer with prior software development experience to add to our team. Someone who has a passion for technology, strong customer facing skills and is an excellent team player would make an ideal candidate.

Requirements

What you'll do:

  • Complete product technical design and prototyping, software development, bug verification and resolution.
  • Perform system analysis and programming activities which may require extensive research and analysis.
  • Provide technical/engineering support for new and existing applications from code delivery until the retirement of the application.
  • Provide both individual and budget-level tasks and product effort estimates/costs.
  • Ensure timely, effective, and quality delivery of software into production, both at an individual and team level.
  • Develop and test applications based on business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Create required technical documentation.
  • Adhere to documented departmental and corporate standards. Participates in the definition and documentation of standards.
  • Collaboratively work with QA team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products as well as work with customer support team to resolve or diagnose defects.
  • Perform release validation testing and beta support for projects.
  • Conduct unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 4+ years' experience working as a DevOps Engineer
  • Strong background in DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated deployment processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of various AWS services such as EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, APIGW, ECS, EKS, and related tools for building scalable and reliable data engineering pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Docker containers and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS) or ECS for managing scalable and resilient data processing environments.
  • Understanding of AWS security features, identity, and access management (IAM), encryption mechanisms, and best practices for securing data pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Strong background in setting up end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or GitHub CI/CD, including building, testing, and deploying applications.
  • Familiarity with release management processes and its impact to deploying code to production.
  • Good understanding of platform operating systems, including Microsoft Windows or Linux.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, New Relic, Data Dog) to ensure the performance, availability, and reliability of infrastructure.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to data pipelines, performance bottlenecks, and infrastructure, and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Designing and building scalable data architectures on AWS, with strong experience using AWS data storage and processing services such as S3, EMR, Data Lake Formation, AWS Glue, and Amazon Athena.
  • Ability to design, implement, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines that involve data extraction, transformation, loading, and visualization, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Experience with data transformation, normalization, cleansing, enrichment and Implementing data quality checks and validation processes.
