Two Six Technologies is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team. If you have a desire to support cutting-edge research and perform operational product development & sustainment for cloud-based infrastructure and security applications, let’s talk!
As a Two Six DevOps Engineer you will:
Actively participate in the design, build, test, implementation, and sustainment phases of product development and research programs focused on advancing end user operational outcomes, security, and privacy. Assist specifically with building and maintaining relevant microservices environments and cloud infrastructure.
Join a small, highly-focused team that values initiative and creative spirit.
Responsibilities Include:
- Setting up CICD pipelines with cloud technologies like AWS
- Build automation for technology development and release processes
- Code optimization and scalability analysis
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related Scientific Domain; or demonstrated experience or training in DevOps and IT Operations
- Self starter, and active learner who proactively seeks responsibility and technical growth
- Proven record of improving and automating development and release processes
- Experience using git for collaborative development
- Experience working with legacy codebases in a microservices environment
- Understands core required concepts related to networking, programming/scripting languages, debugging at an infrastructure-level
- Experience with linux administration and configuration
- Experience debugging microservices in operational use
- Experience with configuration management and associated tooling (Salt, Ansible, etc.)
- Experience with infrastructure as code and associated tooling like CloudFormation, Terraform
- Experience with container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Charts
- Experience with database technologies like Postgres, Cassandra, Elasticsearch etc..
- Can show competence in scripting languages (any language will be sufficient to start)
Nice to haves:
- Experience supporting operational systems and sustainment best practices, including system audits by third parties
- Experience supporting real-time data streaming operations using Apache Kafka
- Experience actively administering production Kubernetes and/or AWS EKS clusters
- Maturing proof-of-concept R&D technology to operationally fieldable solutions
- Transitioning fielded R&D technologies to productized solutions
Clearance Requirements:
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a government security clearanceÂ
