DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join Procore’s P&T Engineering.

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll partner with the DevOps/SRE team to own, maintain & operate our infrastructure and CI/CD systems, and implement new features based on the product roadmap. Use your dev-ops skills to uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the many code bases and processes you will encounter. This position reports to Manager, Cloud infrastructure and will be based in our Cairo, Egypt office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do: 

• Maintain & Operate our infrastructure and CI/CD systems

• Implement new infrastructure features and self-services based on the product roadmap

• Use DevOps principles to improve the flow of application change through cloud environments

• Monitoring our infrastructure systems' health and performance

• Own development support tasks and Fix existing and newly reported defects

What we’re looking for: 

• Computer Science, Computer Engineering degree

• 0 ~ 2 years of Experience

• Experience with CI/CD concept and tools (e.g. Github, Bitbucket, Circle CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD)

• Experience with public cloud providers (preferably AWS cloud services)

• Experience with infrastructure as a code (e.g. Terraform, Terragrunt)

• Experience with Linux operating systems, and containerization (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes)

• Experience with observability tools (e.g. ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Sumologic)

• High standards for code quality and a constructive attitude to help others raise the bar

• Empathy, strong communicating skills and deep respect for the power of collaboration

• Pro-active, solution-driven and open-minded team player with a hands-on mentality and agile mindset
