DevOps Engineer

ABSC is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to work in a hybrid on-site/remote role, located in either Chantilly or Springfield, VA (on-site 80%, work from home 20%). Together with ABSC, our product partner Syntasa provides a low and no-code interface and end-to-end integration from ingest to visualization for big data analytics on cloud data platforms. Our Intelligence Community customers are using the platform across multiple networks with unique configurations and integrations, and we need an experienced DevOps Engineer to support the operational systems and deploy updates to enhance the solution and maintain the security posture of the deployment. You will work closely with the Syntasa Product Engineering and customer stakeholders to support production users in their use of Syntasa.

Required Skills:

• This position requires an Active TS/SCI + CI Poly.
• Excellent working knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS services
• Expert level competency in Linux system administration
• Working knowledge of Helm, Terraform, CloudFormation or related Infrastructure as Code solutions
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash
• CISSP or Security+ certification and ability to meet 8570 Privileged User Access on classified networks
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively

Preferred skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or relevant field
• 5+ years of related experience
• Familiarity with Data Engineering and Big Data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, and/or Trino
• Familiarity with Jenkins or other Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment solutions
• Cloud certifications on AWS or other Cloud Service Providers
