DevOps Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:
Millennium Trust is seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to join their growing team. Core responsibilities include planning, organizing, and supporting agile project teams to deliver projects to completion. The incumbent will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering leaders, and product managers to execute high-impact technical projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Work closely with other developers to enhance and improve reliability, and efficiency
• Working closely with our development team to create an automated continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) system
• Be a hands-on contributor and IaC code reviewer
• Mentor junior engineers, evangelize good security habits and secure development practices
• Contribute to best practices for all engineers
• Align new and existing pipelines with MTC's testing strategies
• Streamline the build and deploy pipelines in Azure for the backend team, frontend team, and data team
• Ensure least privilege access to our system and a zero-trust environment prevails
• Participate in infrastructure architecture definition and alignment across Engineering teams
• Design and implement infrastructure as code to programmatically build the client platform with a focus on SaaS
• Provide hands-on technical expertise and support in general DevOps tasks. Responsible for defining and implementing the build, deployment and monitoring standards
• A part of Agile development teams to deliver an end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment
• Build and configure delivery environments supporting CD/CI tools using an Agile delivery methodology
• Create scripts and/or templates to automate and/or bootstrap infrastructure provisioning and management tasks
• Working closely with our development team to create an automated continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) system
• Work together with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Monitor and support all installed systems and infrastructure
• Develop custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on tasks
• Contribute to the design of information and operational support systems
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Evaluate application performance, identify potential bottlenecks, develop solutions, and implement them with the help of developers
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3 - 5 years of applicable experience
• Strong understanding of and experience with Azure, CI/CD pipelines, etc.
• Experience using SAST and DAST tools for application security testing
• 3+ years' experience with infrastructure as code frameworks
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Redis, MySQL, and Graph
• Experience with modern, SOA and micro-services. You prefer asynchronous communication amongst services and are experienced using message queues
• 3+ years of software engineering or operations experience
• 3+ years' experience with software provisioning and configuration tools like Ansible
• Experience conforming to data privacy regulations
• 3+ years' experience with Azure Cloud platform
• Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
• Strong collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion and deploy on-demand releases
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must

Preferred Qualifications

• Automation and DevSecOps Pipeline tools: Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt, Terrarform, Cloud Formation
• Orchestration - Jenkins, GitLab CI... etc
• Code Security Tools - Fortify, Sonar Qube
• Solid understanding of agile frameworks/principles preferred
• Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
