DevOps Engineer

Job Title: DevOps Engineer  

Schedule: Hybrid: 3 days in office/2 days at home 

Job Summary

PatientPoint DevOps Engineers perform hands-on application infrastructure implementation and automation of our platform services and contribute to the support of our fleet of remote devices. You should have an intense curiosity, a passion for problem solving, creativity, the ability to visualize solutions, a positive can-do attitude, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

What You Will Do 

• Create infrastructure as code via Terraform 
• Implement network design, implementation, and debugging on our AWS hosting platform. 
• Design and implement DevOps security infrastructure. 
• Deploy new services to AWS using automation tools 
• Improve deployment automation of infrastructure and services as well as improve the scalability of the infrastructure in general 
• Participate in on-call rotation on infrastructure issues 

What We Need 

• 3+ years of AWS cloud hosting experience 
• 3+ years of CI/CD tool experience  
• 2+ years of Terraform, Cloud Formation or similar infrastructure as code and/or configuration management familiarity (Chef, Puppet)  
• 2+ years of utilizing scripting languages (Python 3.x preferred) 
• 2+ years of experience with 24/7 on-call support rotation  
• Use of command line tools such as CMD, Telnet, SSH, GIT, and SCP 
• Experience with setting up, tuning and monitoring of infrastructure and applications 
• Current experience applying troubleshooting techniques across various server, application, and network technologies including  
• Networking and Switching concepts  
• Load Balancing  
• Firewall Configuration 
• Windows and Linux server environments 

Desired Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or other technology field 
• Powershell, Bash or VBScript language skills
