Qualification & Experience

• Must have a full-time Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar
• At least 4-5 years of working experience in the related field

Required skills/ Competencies

• Good grasp of vendor-neutral automation and configuration management tools like Terraform, and Ansible. Familiarity with writing automated production automation code for multiple services.
• Hands-on experience in setting up monitoring, logging, and tracing tools like Datadog, Sumo Logic, AWS Cloudwatch, and Container Insights.
• Robust understanding of common security best practices, and AWS security best practices. Good understanding of implementing AWS security and governance tools like AWS Cloud Trail, AWS Guard Duty, AWS Shield, and AWS Certificate Manager
• Good grasp in running production workloads using common cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes, Istio
• Good understanding of Different SQL and NoSQL databases like MySQL, and MongoDB. Good understanding of deployment replica sets and use cases. Familiarity with Public data warehouse services like Snowflake, AWS Data Lake
• Familiarity with distributed systems, Microservices, and Service Mesh Tools.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Experience and exposure to multiple cloud providers like AWS, GCP, Azure
• Monitor critical production systems, and define key KPIs, metrics, and bottlenecks in production systems. Make key decisions on scaling and distribution of workloads.
• Research and provide solutions to mitigate security flaws, implement security frameworks, tools, and best practices
• Research and develop plans to deploy containers, service mesh, and container orchestration tools in the cloud
• Plan, Document, and Implement production replicasets, and shards. Analyse and predict possible bottlenecks wherever possible.
• Conduct post-mortems, and find problems, root causes, and solutions to mitigate them. Use failures and the opportunity to learn and improvise the existing system.
• Research, Plan, Suggest, and implement distributed services and architecture patterns
• Encompass the ability to design, implement, and analyze stress and performance tests to ensure system resilience, scalability, and reliability under varying and peak conditions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define a roadmap and execute innovative ideas. Collaborate with product and operational teams to roll out products to our talent, employees, and partners. Efficiently plan, document, and execute the production system.
