DevOps Engineer

You will be part of our Software Engineering organization developing Workstation and enterprise Client-Server software. We hold the world's leading position in global laboratory informatics as measured by our valued base of customers.

As the successful candidate for this DevOps position you will join an exciting team in a key position working on developing tools for our development and test environments.
You will be expected to have a broad range of development and IT operation knowledge including scripting, testing, and end user support.
The responsibilities of this position include:
- Designing, developing, and testing of tools for the Software DevOps Team.
- Support the various Software Development Scrum teams.
- Support developers with CI/CD, application, and IT problems.
- Incorporate leading edge development practices into SDLC.
- Solve a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity.
- International travel of up to 10% may be required (post COVID).
Note: This role is a hybrid schedule (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday onsite; Monday and Friday remote).
Qualifications
We are looking for a motivated and driven team player with experience working in software development or software support, with the following experience, skills, and qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent
- Post-graduate, certification and/or license may be required
- Typically, at least 4+ years relevant experience for entry into this level
- 2+ years of supporting engineering, scripting, and maintaining development tools
- Expert in Jenkins Pipelines and Groovy
- Expert in .NET
- Docker experience is beneficial.
- Experience with Linux and Windows O/S
- Experience in Virtual/Cloud administration and development (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence
- Experience with industry leading build tools - Jenkins, Maven, GIT, NuGet
- A good understand of highly automated quality assurance/test strategies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a positive attitude especially.
- Experience in Agile Software Development Practices (Scrum or other).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The US pay range for this full-time position is $118,850.00 - $185,703.00/yr, plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum new hire pay for the position across the relevant US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
