DevOps Engineer

MORSE is an innovative, employee-owned tech company located in Kendall Square in Cambridge, MA specializing in solving multi-disciplinary problems faced by the US National Security Ecosystem. Our specially selected team of engineers, software developers and scientists develop algorithms, software, integrated prototypes, and solutions for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Manned and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Mission Planning, and Situational Awareness.

MORSE is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. To maximize the efficiency of MORSE's engineering efforts, the DevOps Engineer will lead DevOps initiatives and support programs deploying AI and Machine Learning Capabilities to our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain infrastructure used to run pipelines on classified systems

• Provide support and ensure uptime of websites deployed on classified systems

• Automate processes related to software development on classified systems

• Develop CI/CD pipelines to improve software development processes

• Develop and foster DevOps and Cloud expertise within a program

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

• Secret Clearance or higher strongly preferred.

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree, and 2+ years of experience working in software development and DevOps.

• Experience working in a fast-paced, agile software engineering environment preferred.

• Strong working knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker.

• Knowledge of cloud computing stacks and concepts like virtualization, containerization, container orchestration, cloud security, and infrastructure as code. AWS experience strongly preferred.

• Experience automating processes in Linux using Shell Scripting and/or Python.

  Preference will be given to candidates that also have one or more of the following:

• Working knowledge of Python.

• Experience with getting software to meet security compliance standards such as Grype.

• Experience managing a variety of development-related systems, including bug tracking, knowledge bases, code repositories, package managers, and CI/CD systems. Experience implementing development-related systems.
