ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Mid DevOps Engineer, you will contribute to advanced operations and development tasks with a 30% Dev / 70% Ops split. Your responsibilities will involve supporting Java and cloud-based applications, troubleshooting, and improving system stability. The role focuses on both backlog and non-backlog activities such as scripting, automation, analysis, and providing technical support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide advanced support for Java and cloud-based applications.

• Troubleshoot issues, analyze problems, and implement changes to improve stability.

• Support backlog activities, including automation, scripting, and adjustments.

• Perform non-backlog tasks such as troubleshooting, analysis, and implementing necessary changes.

• Deliver Level 2/Level 3 technical support, focusing on error detection and system stability improvements.

• Optimize and adjust monitoring systems to proactively identify and resolve issues.

• Develop cloud expertise to minimize operational efforts during modernization.

• Contribute to the transition of applications such as SWL-C to cloud components (e.g., BOSS already in the cloud).

• Maintain an end-to-end understanding of client-server applications using VMs, Oracle, and Postgres databases.

• Collaborate with teams to align technical solutions with operational goals and modernization efforts.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency in cloud platforms and services.

• Experience with Java development and troubleshooting.

• Hands-on expertise in databases (DBs) including Oracle and Postgres.

• Understanding of client-server applications and their infrastructure, including VMs and database integrations.

• Familiarity with support changes during Azure migration.

• Experience with scripting and automating operational processes.

• Strong troubleshooting skills at Level 2/Level 3.

• Analytical skills for problem-solving and stability improvement.

• Proficiency in English is required; German language skills are preferred.
