The TransUnion Global Fraud Solutions group delivers industry leading capabilities in identity validation and digital insights to help our customers fight fraud and streamline trusted consumer experiences. We are embarking on another step in our journey with a multi-year Fraud Platform Modernization program. This program will include development of a new global fraud platform along with modernization of our existing fraud point solutions.
This DevOps Engineer position will work with our component and feature teams to manage and modernize our existing Fraud Platform's build and development pipelines. The mission of our teams is to build and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable platforms that contribute to our leading intelligent fraud prevention solutions and provide internal teams with the insight they need. We process 30+ million transactions a day and manage many disparate methods of data collection and transformation to populate local and cloud-based data warehouses.

What You'll Bring:
  • Proficiency with UNIX development (Centos, OSX, Bash, Maven, Git)
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with others, proactively recommend solutions, and solve complex problems
  • Experience building and maintaining software development pipelines
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or another containerization technology

We'd love to see:
  • Learn, support, and improve our foundational technologies and abstractions (including databases, load balancers, monitoring, reporting, etc.)
  • Experience with Cloud Technologies such as GCP, AWS, and Azure
  • Be vigilant and aware of new security threats. Recommend and implement new security technologies and policies.
  • 2+ years of experience working in DevOps

Impact You'll Make:
TransUnion's Global Fraud Solutions group provides a leading intelligent fraud prevention platform. The DevOps Engineer will participate in up-front design, ensuring built-in quality, deploying code into production, and monitoring the health of the services.
  • In the first 90 days - research and become familiar with existing technologies and architecture standards, participate in agile team planning and SAFe ceremonies, and understand our CI/CD pipeline
  • Beyond 90 days - Collaborate with other engineers to improve the fraud detection platform, troubleshoot customer issues and grow understanding of how our customers use our product, contribute to the continuous delivery pipeline, and expand knowledge of our systems and how to manage them more effectively
