We seek to leverage the best tools available. Your duties include helping us find, evaluate, and implement new tools and approaches that make the team fast and efficient. Position Responsibilities:
- Support a high-security, reliable, cloud-based infrastructure
- Design and build scalable cloud-based platforms
- Automate configuration and deployment of monitoring and management services
- Work closely with our engineering and QA teams to solve problemsÂ
- Handle capacity planning, provisioning and scaling of application infrastructure
- Diagram and document infrastructure and network designs
- Implement information security best practices
- Advise Aver’s management on security matters
- Implement infrastructure changes
Position Requirements:
- Curious self-motivated learner
- Own and deliver projects and processes with quality and velocity
- Experience driving change through the usage, improvement, and maintenance of observability and monitoring tools (e.g. New Relic)
- Experience working with AWS, including EC2, Lambda, Systems Manager, AWS Backups RedShift, ECS, S3, and AWS Transfer among others
- Experience with the setup, maintenance and improvement of CI/CD pipelines and product releases
- Experience with Python, Javascript, CloudFormation, and/or Terraform
Preferred Experience:
- Preference will be given to candidates who can share projects that demonstrate the capabilities to meet these responsibilities and requirements
- 3+ years experience in Linux administration
- 3+ years of management of large scale deployments using configuration management tools
- 3+ years of experience supporting high availability web applications and data pipelines
- 1+ years of experience with Docker
- 1+ years working in a continuous integration and continuous deployment paradigm
- 1+ years of experience in scripting with one or more languages
- Knowledge of AWS services best practices
- Experience with Git
- Experience supporting products, platforms, and enterprise applications
- Experience managing relational databases
- Experience with Infrastructure security
- Experience with AWS Advanced Networking
