DevOps Engineer

Job Opportunity: Our team is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to work in our Reston, VA location. 

What You'll Get to Do as a DevOps Engineer:

• Designs, deploys, monitors, and maintains secure platform architectures for Amazon Web Services (AWS) applications
• Designs, deploys, and maintains CI/CD pipelines
• Designs and deploys Infrastructure-as-Code and similar automation to reduce manual efforts for deployments, testing, security, and operations
• Develops technical documentation and provides support for obtaining and maintaining platform and application Authority to Operate
• Proactively identifies and remediates platform infrastructure security vulnerabilities with DAST/SAST and infrastructure scanning tools
• Identifies and executes strategies to reduce manual efforts and improve platform performance and availability
• Acts as the ambassador and technical representative for the platform while engaging with security, network, and other integrated technology teams
• Works with Technical Lead to develop and promote platform processes and standards
• Identifies, recommends, coordinates, delivers timely knowledge to development teams regarding technologies, processes or tools

• Must be a US citizen for DHS Suitability clearance.
• BS degree with 10 plus of experience.
• 5 years of experience in designing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining secure platform architecture
• Experience working within an Agile Development environment
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code automation (e.g., terraform, helm charts)
• Experience with Kubernetes, helm, and argocd
• Experience on gitlab runner a plus
• Java/J2EE experience using Spring Boot, Spring REST, Hibernate
• Microservices experience
• Experience with SQL databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Postgres
• Cloud Architecture related certifications (Amazon AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Amazon AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional)
