The Role:

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us build, deploy, and maintain our critical infrastructure and services. A varied role which will see you implementing new technologies across infrastructure, cloud, automation and software development. This role would suit either an established DevOps engineer or someone who has the existing skills and experience required to step into this role.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with scrum teams to ensure development and QA environments meet requirements and best practices for scale, performance, and operability.
• Create and update monitoring dashboards for displaying critical metrics of our infrastructure.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of agreed build and deployment infrastructures.
• Research and propose new technologies and tools to improve our delivery speed and increase quality.
• Enforce the DR (Disaster Recovery) implementation across the development estate, ensuring that new/old critical systems are identified rapidly and included/removed from the plan.
• Provide support to a wide range of teams across different products and platforms (Windows / Mac / Azure / AWS).

What You’ll Bring:

• Good communication skills, essential to enabling positive collaboration with functions both inside and outside development.
• Aptitude for problem solving, exploring, and suggesting solutions to complex problems.
• Experience with Hypervisors Hyper-V and Vmware is essential.
• Ideally from DevOps or closely related role (Support/Developer/QA etc).
• Detailed knowledge of the agile development lifecycle, processes, and tooling.
• Excellent scripting skills with at least one common scripting language.
• Strong understanding of the principles, theories, practices, techniques, and tooling supporting software build, deployment, and test automation.
• Experience in AWS / Jira / Confluence / Artifactory / GitHub Enterprise (Specifically GitHub Actions) would be beneficial. 
• Datacenter Experience would be beneficial.
