The Engineering department is an agile software development organization. In DevOps, we partner closely with our Product Strategy, Architecture and Development teams to design and produce high quality software solutions to meet our customers’ needs. Our team is driven by creative, curious, and inventive people who have a passion for innovation and excellence. Your Career Opportunity:

As a DevOps Engineer for our cloud based EHR software, you will apply your experience building and maintaining application infrastructure to create a secure, performant, scalable foundation in which our products can exist. You will establish and automate CI/CD pipelines which support frequent, high-quality releases by Engineers across the organization. You will work closely with senior Engineers to design solutions to complex problems, and to evaluate and implement the latest tools. You will leverage communication and troubleshooting skills to collaboratively respond to incidents and outages, leading stakeholders across many departments calmly and purposefully toward resolution. Sharing knowledge of Terraform, Kubernetes, MySQL, DataDog and more, you will participate in a pairing session multiple times weekly in order to raise the skill and confidence level of each and every member of the team. You will be aligned to one of our brands, but will work on projects across our entire portfolio, and become familiar with many different environments and technologies.

Your Areas of Accountability:

• Provision and manage a growing AWS cloud infrastructure, continuously evaluating new technologies to solve extant and emergent problems
• Develop expert-level knowledge of the application environments supporting multiple brands/products
• Oversee the execution of integration tests through the code deployment pipeline
• Monitor system infrastructure and configuration for disruption, anomalies or evidence of intrusion
• Take the lead on and/or act in a supporting role for production promotion and patching events as needed, driving toward consistent delivery of successful feature releases
• Keep systems and data secure at all times, complying with the latest security standards
• Audit, troubleshoot and resolve system availability and integrity issues
• Constantly evaluate existing systems against accepted and evolving industry standards
• Proactively evaluate systems; identify, propose and execute changes in support of efficient performance, high availability, and cost control
• Act as first responder and system owner during triage and analysis of abnormalities in system operation
• Maintain an on-call availability for response to any incidents or alerts
   

Competencies for Success:

• 2+ years’ experience in a DevOps role or equivalent
• A working understanding of Agile methodology and ceremonies as well as SDLC
• Experience with unit tests and integration tests
• An understanding of CI/CD delivery methods and pipelines
• Significant experience working with AWS (highly preferred) and/or Azure PaaS and IaaS Solutions
• Experience working in and troubleshooting highly available production environments
• Experience with a configuration language (Terraform highly preferred)
• Experience managing Docker containers and related orchestrations tools (Kubernetes preferred)
• Experience implementing monitoring solutions (e.g. Prometheus, DataDog, Site24x7)
• Database management experience a plus, especially with MySQL
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing hardening techniques and solutions
• Creative problem-solving with a demonstrated willingness to teach, learn, and be a generalist
• Must work well under pressure, balancing multiple priorities and objectives

At Integrated Practice Solutions, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine our offers of employment. This includes internal and external market factors as well as your individual experience and skills. These considerations can cause compensation to vary but we reasonably expect to pay between $60,750-$126,000 for this position.
