Our client’s technical team is made up of hard-working engineers that share a common interest in building a beautiful consumer website by developing sophisticated algorithms and highly available systems to offer best in class services to our customers.
 
As a Software DevOps Engineer, you will help build and configure the frontend and backend systems that deliver our services, scale those systems for growth, and continuously improve our engineering practice.  Above all, your work will impact the way rewards points are maximized and help people travel better!
 
Our client's proprietary algorithm crawls the many hidden corners of the Internet, including those hard-to-search airline award websites, to discover the clearest path to maximizing the value of loyalty and credit card points.
 
What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with other engineers to identify and solve challenging problems
  • Promote sound engineering practices, drive technical excellence and strategy
  • Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS
  • Work collaboratively with software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements
  • Provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools
  • Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas
  • Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems
  • Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization
  • Build and maintain tools for other developers to facilitate self-serve development infrastructure improvements
 

 

Requirements
Who You Are
  • Experience architecting, implementing and operating large-scale, highly available applications in AWS & Vercel cloud environments
  • A software professional with 5 or more years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, ECS, CloudFront, S3, RDS)
  • A college graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field, with preference for CS, CpE, or EE
  • A communicative person that values building strong relationships and even stronger teams
  • Detail-oriented and well organized, able to explain complex topics in a clear way
  • Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing AWS infrastructure
  • Solid foundation of networking and system administration
  • Experience with Docker, GitHub, Copilot, ECS and deploying applications on AWS
  • Experience working with travel booking systems, especially airlines is preferred, but not required
  • Passionate about developing amazing user experiences

We are hiring multiple candidates under this listing, ranging from Software Engineer II to Senior Engineers and Leads. The anticipated salary range is $105k to $190k; specific compensation will be determined based on your level of experience.

Given the nature of our client's business, they anticipate that all team members will be traveling from time to time, including company trips and off-sites, or meeting with strategic partners. As such, being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is a condition of employment. You'll be asked to provide a copy of your vaccination card in advance of your first day.
