DevOps Engineer (AWS + Terraform)

We’re looking to add a Senior DevOps to our team. You’ll be a strong match for this role if you have 5+ years of prior professional experience in an infrastructure/SecDevOps role. The ideal candidate can demonstrate prior experience automating, scaling, monitoring, optimizing, and securing modern cloud-native applications and infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with our entire team (engineers, customer support and other internal stakeholders) to maintain and grow Traject Data’s services with a focus on: operations, security, reliability, efficiency/automation, cost optimization
• Maintain and progress application and infrastructure insights and monitoring: metrics, logs, alarms, dashboards, on call rotation
• Write technical documentation such as runbooks and infrastructure diagrams
• Make an impact: provide insights on how to improve our operations, processes and products

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional infrastructure/SecDevOps experience
• Expertise automating operations tasks (deployments, CI/CDs, security updates) utilizing bash, docker, Ansible and Terraform (expert level)
• Know how to monitor modern cloud applications at scale (metrics/insights/alarms/logs/APM) including prior hands-on experience with related industry-standard tools such as Loki/Prometheus/Grafana, New Relic, AWS CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail
• Cloud application security best practices (bonus: compliance experience such as SOC2)
• Strong background scaling APIs: data-intensive and network-intensive workloads
• Modern clouds (AWS or equivalent), infrastructure as code
• Familiarity with agile processes and Scrum
• Bonus: prior data-extraction experience

• Frameworks: Node.js, Express, React (provided for operations context: this role does not require application development experience)
