UltraViolet Cyber is seeking a talented cybersecurity focused, DevOps Engineer with expertise in infrastructure-as-code that enables security features in a cloud environment, you will lead the design and implementation of cloud solutions that not only meet business needs but also adhere to regulatory and security compliance standards. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that compliance is an integral part of our cloud infrastructure by leveraging automation and best practices in compliance-as-code.
The role will support a federal agency and require US citizenship and a Federal background investigation.
Hybrid Schedule, Mostly Telework: This position requires 1-2 days per week in Arlington, VA.
No third-party candidates will be considered.
Work You'll Do:
- Infrastructure-as-Code: Utilize Terraform to develop IaC in AWS and GCP.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design cloud solutions that align with business objectives while considering compliance requirements.
- Compliance-as-Code: Implement compliance-as-code practice to automate the enforcement and validation of compliance controls within cloud environments.
- Security and Privacy: Ensure that cloud solutions are designed with security and data privacy in mind, including encryption, access controls, and data protection.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with relevant regulations (FISMA, NIST 800-53) and ensure that cloud solutions meet compliance standards.
- Compliance Automation: Develop and maintain Terraform code, templates, and configurations to automate compliance checks and remediation.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation outlining compliance-as-code processes, controls, and configurations.
- Training and Education: Continuously stay up-to-date on cloud security best practices
- Awareness: Raise awareness of compliance requirements and best practices throughout the organization.
What You've Accomplished:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or 9 years of experience without a degree.
- Expertise with Terraform is a must have
- Proven experience in a Cloud Engineering, DevOps Engineering, or SRE role with an emphasis on Cybersecurity
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated services.
- Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools and practices.
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)) are highly desirable.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead compliance discussions.
