DevOps Engineer II

You in The Role and on The Team: In this role you will facilitate the creation, adoption, and use of tools and processes that enable our development teams to realize their full potential. You will find fulfillment in making life easier for those around you, have an appreciation for simplicity, and hold dear the values of scalability, reliability, and resiliency.  This position partners with engineering and product teams to enhance our utilization of cloud platforms, ensure stability of systems, mature security compliance, further our CICD and automation, and more.

A Day in the Life

• Participate in the Agile process with cross-functional development teams
• Contribute operational and systems expertise to the software development lifecycle
• Contribute to organization-wide processes and standards
• Automate infrastructure, software builds, testing, and deployments
• Share knowledge with other DevOps Engineers, Software Engineers
• Configure monitoring, reporting, and alerting for Mitratech products
• Contribute to the creation and review of architecture/infrastructure design proposals
• Actively participate in patching and secure operation of services

Key success factors

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
• 3+ years of hand-on experience with Azure Cloud
• Strong hands-on CICD / Deployment Automation experience with Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows Operating Systems
• Infrastructure as code experience with 1 or more tools (Terraform, Terragrunt, ARM Templates, Bicep etc)
• Strong hands-on Containerization experience (Kubernetes, Docker, Azure Container Apps, etc)
• Understanding of database systems (Transactional and/or NoSQL)
• Some scripting experience (Bash, Powershell, Python, etc.)
• Exposure to security scanning and vulnerability tools
• Understanding of autoscaling and/or highly available architectures
• Configuration management experience with 1 or more tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack, etc)
• Exposure to at least 1 monitoring tool (NewRelic, AppDynamics, DataDog, Splunk, Prometheus, Nagios, etc.)
• Experience with source code management (GitHub, Bitbucket, ADO)
