DevOps Engineer II
Job Description
• The scope of this position will be to make minor enhancements to and support on a variety of technical issues involving a wide range of applications and technologies.
Our current technical environment:
Application Administration: Salesforce, Apptus, Informatica (Integrations), Atlassian tool (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) MYSQL and SQL administration, Upland PSA, SharePoint, Workday, Azure, Azure Data platform, Azure DevOps, PowerBI, Data Lake etc.
What you'll do:
•
* Identifying, managing, and resolving time sensitive escalations.
* Perform L3 Incident and Service Requests management & Release management
* Analyzing and identifying potential business impacting Incident and invoking Major Incident Management process for quick service restoration.
* Take end to end ownership, collaborate with other infrastructure/application/business support teams and Major Incidents till restoration with minimal business/service impact.
* Prepare quality communications for business and technology audience, during Major Incidents and user impacting Change Maintenance.
* Act as SPOC for different support groups/technology towers and take ownership on required improvements, shift left activities and value additions.
* Review existing process, practice, routines and suggest on improvements.
* Training new team members and conducting shift triage regularly on recent updates impacting Global Command Center Operations.
* Perform Quality Audits for team and share feedback with team.
* Review and maintain Knowledge Base articles.
* Testing (manual & automated) new services/solutions and share feedback before their wider rollouts.
* Perform support ticket triage basis associates' skill groups and urgency of requests/issues.
* Develop & Maintain team's continuous Deployment pipeline in collaboration with engineering teams.
* Works collaboratively with QA, Documentation, Dev Support, Development, and Product Management teams to ensure that the proper components are included in a release and tested.
What we are looking for:
- 3-5 years of experience as Support & Operations Engineer in Enterprise Application Support
- Basic Understanding of Data platform and Integrations
- Administrative & Release management experience with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday & Azure PaaS etc.
- Familiar with DevOps concepts and 1+ years' experience with CI/CD development & automated functional testing
- Intermediate SQL knowledge
- Pro-active mindset, ability to learn and deliver in a 24*7 work environment.
- Demonstrate ownership and contribute on major/minor projects.
- Should have good understanding of ITIL Framework along with Technology Infrastructure, Application and Security Organization.
- Excellent communication skills - both in written and spoken.
- Attention to detail and follow and improve processes are a must.
