Job Summary:

The DevOps Engineer II will design, build and evolve an automation framework to operate our IT service infrastructure. This role will focus on maintaining and growing our existing infrastructure through server provisioning, configuration management, availability monitoring and cyclical maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Be vigilant in and have excellent knowledge of AWS Cost Controls and using IaC to reduce instance sizes, modify services, and add or remove services in an effort to cutcosts
• Develop and maintain system automation documentation and version control
• Lead continuous quality improvement process with operations and deployment teams
• Deploy, maintain and evolve software and system monitoring services
• Design and deploy a continuous integration and deployment environment
• Involvement in leadership and mentoring of others on current and future toolsets and technologies.
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• AWS SysOps, DevOps, or Solutions Architect required
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• A minimum of two years progressively responsible experience

Preferred:

• Technical expertise in deployment, management, and operations on the AWS platform
• Experience developing configuration management with Chef and/or AWS based automation tools
• Knowledge of Deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems on AWS
• Experience with Alerting and Monitoring Systems (Cloudwatch preferred)
• Experience programming or scripting in any one or more of these: PowerShell, CURL, UNIX shell, Python, Ruby, Bash and JSON
• Knowledge of ITIL/Change Management processes
• Knowledge of HIPAA, and PCI regulations
• Experience with Lean and Agile development methodologies
