Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer to join us in-office, hybrid or 100% remote from any U.S. location.

  • AWS and GCP
  • PHP, JavaScript/React, Go, Python and R
  • Redshift, Postgres, Mongo, Redis, etc.
  • ECS, Terraform, GitHub
  • SCRUM-inspired agile development process.

We are looking for engineers who have:

  • Passion for solving challenging problems by delivering clean and performant code
  • Profound understanding of distributed system design and data intensive applications
  • SOLID software engineering expertise (OOA/OOD, TDD, CI/CD)
  • Strong adherence to agile values
  • Team-first, proactive approach to work and great communication skills.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Participating in planning, designing, developing and maintaining Alli Infrastructure
  • Participating in agile processes and ceremonies
  • Mentoring junior developers, leading code reviews, and providing critical feedback to fellow developers
  • Optimizing application infrastructure for the best user experience
  • Ensuring Platform availability SLA
  • Designing, implementing, and supporting system monitoring infrastructure

Minimum requirements are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering
    3+ years of experience in Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform)
  • 3+ years experience using build and deployment tools (Travis, Github Actions, AWS Code Deploy)
  • 4+ years experience with coding and scripting (Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Bash)
  • 4+ years experience with monitoring and logging platforms (Cloudwatch, Grafana, Datadog, Sumologic, Splunk, etc.)
  • 4+ years experience with Configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Salt, Chef, Puppet)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Additional points will be given for:

  • AWS DevOps Engineer Professional Certification
  • HashiCorp Terraform Associate Certification
