About this position

As a DevOps Engineer III, you will work proactively with the Engineering and Product teams to implement, operate, and maintain our global consumer-facing infrastructure. You are a self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment, thrives on problem-solving, and is committed to delivering seamless product availability, including implementing monitoring tools and alerting tooling. You will manage all build and deploy tools and oversee all deployments.

What you'll do

• You build and manage CI/CD pipelines for multiple software components.
• You work collaboratively with developers to define infrastructure and deployment requirements and processes.
• You develop internal and customer-facing software and tools as needed.
• You research new cloud-based services and build PoCs.
• You document processes and procedures related to infrastructure and deployments.
• You ensure proper knowledge transfer amongst the software team to promote appropriate and innovative use of cloud services.
• You perform infrastructure usage analysis and cost optimization internally and for customers.
• You are committed to agility and are a lifelong learner.

You should have

• An Associate's Degree in computer science or related experience. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 5-7 years' experience in a DevOps Engineering role.
• You have experience with Git, GitHub, and building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• You have Integrated CI/CD pipelines with static code analysis tools such as SonarQube.
• You have experience Troubleshooting, monitoring, and alerting using APM tools such as New Relic, Splunk, and Elasticsearch.
• You have set up and configured log aggregators.
• You have an Excellent understanding of application architecture-scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript and working knowledge of OOP principles.
• You have experience building and consuming REST/SOAP APIs. Experience with Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production environments.
• You have experience/familiarity in agile software development and DevOps methodologies.
• You have demonstrated work with one or more cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google).
• You have strong experience building, deploying, and monitoring container-based applications-strong experience with a Kubernetes orchestration platform such as AKS, GKE, or EKS.
• You have worked with high availability, high performance, multi-data center systems, and hybrid cloud environments.
• You have experience with logging and monitoring tools like New Relic, Splunk, and application performance monitoring (APM) tools such as AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, or AppDynamics.
• You have a solid ability to troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resources to application stack traces.
• You're familiar with infrastructure-as-code, terraform preferred, and AWS CloudFormation.
