DevOps Engineer III / Cloud

You will be part of a team that designs and implements cloud-native applications working with cloud-native technologies such as AWS Kubernetes and Docker to build highly scalable applications and microservices.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implementation of microservices
• Refactoring legacy and traditional monolithic applications into microservices and containerized architectures
• Works as part of a larger Agile software development team to rapidly provide operational capabilities to the field
• Elicit derive and document software and/or system requirements to meet internal or external customer specifications
• Define software/and or system architecture design software modules and produce associated documentation per corporate or customer standards
• Write and test software modules and integrate with other software and/or hardware components
• Remain up to date with the latest related trends and technologies

Must-haves:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field with typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
• Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
• 5+ years of software development experience with at least one object oriented language such as but not limited to Java Python C# C++ or Go
• Demonstrated implementation of microservices container and cloud-native application development
• Hands-on experience with Docker Kubernetes and/or Openshift and related container platform ecosystems
• Experience working with multiple cloud vendors
• Experience with managed Kubernetes services Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
• Demonstrated experience with developer tools such as GitHub and on-prem Azure DevOps
• Significant experience with Linux
• Strong understanding and experience of release engineering CI and CD pipelines
• Strong Agile experience working in Scrum and/or Kanban models
• Proven track record of delivering high quality and consistent systems and environments for development teams
• Experience in project definition
• Ability to rapidly work with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large teams
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
