Bynder seeks a DevOps Engineer in San Carlos, CA to perform stability and performance maintenance of a SaaS ecosystem. Utilize Chef, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Ruby, CloudFormation, and AWS to build self-service software systems that are cost-efficient and scalable. Assist the Development team in their workflow and streamline releases. Advocate operational best practices to Product, Professional Services, Development, and Support teams. Distribute process and company-wide system communication, including post-mortems, incident management, and project documentation. Address high availability concerns, weak points, performance bottlenecks, manually configured state, and information security issues. Provide feedback and guidance on architecture proposals from across the organization. Ensure proactive and efficient monitoring for vital microservices. Automate, monitor, and ensure the horizontal scalability of software systems. Maintain and build the global scaling infrastructure and troubleshoot and debug network, system, and application issues using New Relic, Sumologic, packet capture data, and Linux shell software tools. Develop and deploy cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS, Jenkins and GitHub. Design, setup and maintain observability tools for logging, monitoring and metrics using Grafana, Open Search and Prometheus. Automate build and deployment pipelines using Jenkins, Groovy and Terraform and automate testing tools. Troubleshoot network, system and application issues using Linux Shell and OpenSearch. Address high availability concerns, weak points, performance bottlenecks, manually configured state, and information security issues.


Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent, and two (2) years of experience automating, monitoring, and ensuring the horizontal scalability of software systems. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience troubleshooting and debugging network, system and application issues using New Relic, Sumologic, packet capture data, and Linux shell software tools; developing and deploying cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS, Jenkins and GitHub; designing, setting up and maintaining observability tools for logging, monitoring and metrics using Grafana, Open Search and Prometheus; automating build and deployment pipelines using Jenkins, Groovy and Terraform and automating testing tools; troubleshooting network, system and application issues using Linux Shell and OpenSearch; and addressing high availability concerns, weak points, performance bottlenecks, manually configured state, and information security issues. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.


Compensation Range: $156,000 - $158,000
