Come join our world-class engineering team in the development and scaling of image processing and machine learning technologies.  This position is a DevOps Engineer with an Automation mindset and experience with AWS, Chef, Docker, Jenkins, and Continuous Integration.  He/she is passionate to work at the intersection of Big Data and cloud applications in a fast-paced, agile start-up. #LI-Remote; #LI-IB1

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create infrastructure in the AWS cloud that supports our custom applications in multiple regions.
  • Build robust cloud management services for monitoring, log collections, security scanning, and code repositories.
  • Continuously improve, automate our deployment process.
  • Remove single points of failure, reliability weak points, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Apply security best practices at the cloud, operating system, and application level.
  • Partner with customer support groups to deliver best of breed services and set a high bar for operational excellence.
  • Embed with engineering scrum teams to empower seamless delivery of robust software components.
  • Follow HIPAA compliance guidelines and policies.

Skills Required:

  • Strong grasp of automation and configuration management tools
  • AWS and/or other public cloud services
    • Specifically, Serverless Technologies: AWS CDK, Batch, Step Functions, Lambda, etc.
  • Knowledgeable about best practices in security, AWS, Chef, Docker, Jenkins, and Continuous Integration
  • Strong Linux skills
  • Working understanding of Python, Shell, and SQL
  • Excellent Communication and Collaboration skills

Educational Requirements & Work Experience: 

  • BS in computer science or technical field preferred
  • 2+ years relevant work experience
