Job Description:

SUMMARY

Responsible for the continual automation, integration, deployment, and optimization of software build and deployment systems. Works collaboratively with software engineers to deploy and operate systems across multiple platforms securely and accurately. Keeps a vigilant eye on Black Knight's systems capacity and performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in defining automated monitoring, deployment and repair strategies using a wide variety of Ops tools and monitoring platforms.
• Automates the deployment and provisioning of cloud-based environments via automation tools such as Terraform.
• Champions the development and use of reusable automation templates within the enterprise.
• Migrates on-site solutions to cloud-based offerings.
• Builds and maintains tools for deployment, monitoring and operations as well as troubleshoots and resolves issues.
• Engineers and maintains the Continuous Integration and Continual Deployment (CI/CD) processes using azure devops models on team foundation server and mentors teams to assist with improving their processes.
• Ensures AWS build and deployment processes are following corporate standards and cloud best practices.
• Assists with the management and performance of the infrastructure and deployment of applications.
• Evaluates third party software tools and libraries for enterprise needs with risk management.
• Diagnoses, isolates, and debugs application problems and performs problem resolution.
• Monitors systems capacity and performance to allow for scaling of high performance as necessary.
• Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• Requires 3+ years of experience in systems administration, DevOps, and/or software development.
• Experience in AWS cloud computing environments.
• Experience with engineering and deploying complex environments and AWS resources using Terraform.
• Understanding of fundamental AWS cloud architecture such as EC2, CloudWatch, VPC, Systems Management, Security Groups, networking fundamentals, IAM, and storage.
• Experience with container orchestration tools (i.e., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, etc.) for containerizing applications or services.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant certifications in technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP Cloud, Linux, Microsoft and/or Kubernetes.
• Experience working in an environment that utilizes CI/CD azure devops processes within Team Foundation environment.
• Experience managing large number of systems (configuration management systems).
• Knowledge of source code control tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps.
• Experience with scripting and development languages such as Python, Powershell, BASH etc.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting and incident response tools and performing root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with Agile best practices.
• Experience with automated testing.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with focus on timeliness, documentation, and communications with peers and business users alike.
