DevOps Engineer / Support, New York (362)

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with production support experience in both AWS and on-premises environments to join our newly created Service Consultant Sub-Practice and exclusively work with a mature and impactful long-term client in the financial services industry. 

What you’ll do:

• Enable and support on-prem to cloud service migrations: have sufficient technical skill to review, deploy and operate the migrated application
• Monitoring and analysis, including development of dashboards and alerts relevant to the supported product. 
• Incident remediation: capture, assessment, escalation, communication, and resolution. 
• Production deployments and verification, development of runbooks and automation. 

Requirements:

• Proven experience in setting up DevOps infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, driving automated build management using GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, Sonar, Ansible Tower, Maven, Code Commit, Code Pipeline and Code build services. 
• Hands-on experience in production operational support of critical systems. 
• Broad and deep technical experience, problem solving, and communication skills. 
• Respond to and resolve incidents for the on-prem solutions. 
• Facilitate development for the new cloud solutions for tasks such as data migration, analysis. 
• Cloud operations experience, preferably in AWS. 
• Hands-on experience with Terraform,Splunk, Grafana, Cloudwatch, Github, Jenkins etc. 
• Experience with observability: analysis and triage of logs, traces, and metrics. 
• Experience working in agile scrum PDLC. 

Nice to have:

• Java frameworks like Spring Boot and Quarkus 
• Python and shell scripting 
• Gitlab CI/CD 
• Experience with ServiceNow a plus.
