The Role:
As a DevOps Engineering Manager, you will be joining a Product Engineering organisation that is 100% dedicated to ensuring that our sports and gaming products deliver first-class experiences to our players and agent partners.
You will have a great understanding of the modern DevOps/SRE practices that underpin successful and reliable systems. You will work hand-in-glove with the DevOps Architect and Principal Engineer and leaders from other Squads to design, build, deliver and run our platform, ensuring our output is demonstrably of the highest quality and performance.

What you will be doing:
- Design it: Collaborate with your team to architect and improve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for better scalability, security, and cost effectiveness.
- Build it: Take a leading role in helping the team to implement metrics and monitoring strategies to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Automate it: Drive automation of testing and deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop talent: Recruit, nurture, and mentor team members to foster a strong and capable engineering team.
- Collaborate: Engage with cross-functional teams to lead and contribute to company-wide initiatives.
What you need for this role:
- Proven ability to lead and manage engineers, with a track record of successful line management of engineers in DevOps specializations.
- Understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and proficiency in modern DevOps practices, specifically with Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps.
- Exceptional communication skills to facilitate collaboration between development, QA, and IT operations teams.
- Bonus points for familiarity with containerization tools (AKS), IaC (Terraform), Monitoring tools (Grafana, Elastic Stack), and/or distributed architectures using messaging technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, where adaptability and quick problem-solving are essential.
- Exceptional attention to detail and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for seamless collaboration within the team and across departments.
