DevOps Manager

Are you the leader who will help NN Bank transform into a bank with strong digital products that customers love? In this role, you will be part of the NN Bank Technology & Transformation department, leading a team of DevOps employees and co-responsible for taking the bank's technology and OPS run to the next level through standardization, improving IT OPS, and reuse. You encourage your employees to develop themselves and work together bank-wide.

You lead a team of DevOps employees who work in the EPTs (empowered product teams) at Mortgages. You ensure that employees develop in their field of expertise and on a personal level. You do this with enthusiasm and a personal approach to your team. To achieve this, we are developing our technological mindset, and collaboration is key to respond even more effectively and quickly to our customers' needs and market developments.

Your role as DevOps Manager is crucial in ensuring that the solutions realized in the EPTs are robust and cost-effective and comply with architecture, guardrails, regulations, and policies. You work closely with product owners, your DevOps team, EPTs, and other stakeholders to stimulate innovation and improve efficiency, ultimately contributing to the success of NN as a digital and data-driven bank.

What you are going to do

Your team works together to support the Mortgages chain with various expertises in the DevOps domain. This includes Engineers, Application Managers, Business Analysts, Salesforce Consultants, Data Engineers, IT Security, and Testers. You are responsible for the management and coaching of a team of 15-20 DevOps employees, who work in the EPTs of NN Bank Mortgages & CK. Specifically, this means:

• Responsible for deepening and broadening the knowledge, expertise, and skills of the DevOps employees in your team.

• Responsible for attracting and delivering the right quality and quantity of DevOps employees to the various EPTs within the set budget
• Responsible for coaching and ensuring the centrally set frameworks around technological innovation, scalability, reliability, collaboration with SAAS suppliers, security, IT policies, and ITIL standards
• You have a proactive role in developing frameworks and standards to enable efficient and automated IT Ops and system monitoring
• Responsible for facilitating the development of EPTs and resolving impediments that are outside the team's sphere of influence
• Responsible for constructive collaboration with Managers Customer Journey, Engineering and DevOps Managers within and outside the chain, to ensure a uniform way of working and developing

Who you are

As a DevOps Manager, you have drive and a leadership style that focuses on inspiring and motivating employees and teams to achieve their goals to make people better, customer-oriented attitude, and enthusiasm for innovation. Specifically, we ask for:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant management experience and WO level of education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience in coaching and developing employees and teams
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong adaptability in rapidly changing business needs, processes, customer value, and technology. Focus on (internal) customer satisfaction and delivering high-quality services and solutions
• Proven strength in stakeholder management, both with peers, towards banking and NN Group departments

Who you will work with

As a member of the NNB/T&T/Technology Mortgages department, you report to the Technology Manager Mortgages. The department consists of two DevOps Managers and an Engineering Manager. Together with your colleagues, you take responsibility for the technological results of Mortgages. We do this with a culture that focuses on collaboration, sharing experiences, and learning from each other, with pride in what we achieve and celebrating successes.
