Our Quality Engineering teams help our product teams automate and standardize the SDLC process. What You Will Do:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers in the run and grow space, providing guidance, coaching, and support to foster professional growth and operational excellence. Foster a positive team culture, promote knowledge sharing, and encourage continuous learning.
- Identify and lead change to enable product team success in adopting enterprise tools, processes, and organizational platforms.
- Support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of DevOps platform tools, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security to foster a tool as a service environment.
- Partner closely with product teams and the software services organization. Effectively work across a matrixed organization to support product team success.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the DevOps & SDLC processes, workflows, and tools to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality. Identify bottlenecks, automate manual tasks, and implement metrics and monitoring to drive process improvements.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure the DevOps platform and processes adhere to security and compliance standards. Implement security best practices, perform regular audits, and address any vulnerabilities or risks.
- Curate and maintain the portfolio of DevOps Platform tools, ensuring they are configured for enterprise standards and scale across the organization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at various levels, including executive management, project managers, and product owners. Understand their needs and priorities, and effectively communicate the value and impact of DevOps initiatives.
- Maintain documentation of processes, configurations, and technical guidelines. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project status, metrics, and achievements to stakeholders.
- Will use knowledge of DevOps and Agile to collaboratively build, inform, and educate internal customers on processes for organizational platforms.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps and related domains. Continuously learn and explore new tools, techniques, and methodologies to drive innovation and enhance the DevOps platform.
What You Need to Succeed:
- 7-10 years of experience in operations, custom software development, DevSecOps, or IT.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or computer technology is required.
- Owning and maintaining internal software or engineering tools is a plus.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a highly complex and matrixed organization.
- Experience in delivering medium to large-sized projects and initiatives.
- Experience using operational metrics to help measure success. Is familiar with DORA, SPACE, and other frameworks for engineering metrics.
- Must have excellent communication skills & proven experience leading discussions with senior leadership.
- Must have experience applying core DevOps principles and experience in building out the capabilities of various platforms.
- Must have strong skills in developing, testing, deploying and maintaining scripts utilizing local and web APIs.
- Must have experience in creating and employing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and provisioning secure, scalable resources in Azure.
- Has experience with a variety of CI/CD tools such as SAST, Software Composition Analysis, DAST, etc.
- Must have the ability to apply policy and non-functional requirements of enterprise software development into actionable practices and software.
