Job Description

Team: IT

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a DevOps Release Manager in United States.

We are seeking a technically strong and highly autonomous DevOps Release Manager to lead the packaging, release, and delivery of complex backend systems powering next-generation AI observability platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring reliable, scalable, and reproducible software releases across both cloud and customer-managed environments. You will work at the intersection of engineering, infrastructure, and release operations, translating product capabilities into production-ready deployments. The environment is fast-moving, highly technical, and deeply collaborative, requiring strong ownership and the ability to operate independently. You will play a critical role in shaping how sophisticated AI systems are deployed securely and efficiently across diverse infrastructures. This is a high-impact opportunity to work on foundational systems supporting enterprise-scale AI adoption.

Accountabilities:

  • Own and manage end-to-end release processes for complex backend systems deployed in SaaS, cloud, and on-prem environments.
  • Design, build, and maintain tooling and pipelines for packaging, versioning, testing, and distributing production-ready releases.
  • Ensure reproducible and reliable builds using modern tooling and languages such as Go, Java, Python, and Bazel.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define deployment architectures across AWS, GCP, Azure, and Kubernetes-based environments.
  • Support and optimize deployment workflows for high-performance, distributed systems operating in constrained or isolated environments.
  • Improve system reliability, observability, upgradeability, and rollback strategies for enterprise customers.
  • Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to understand infrastructure constraints and translate them into scalable release strategies.
  • Drive automation and standardization across release engineering and DevOps workflows.
  • Monitor release performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure system stability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure delivery processes.
  • Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, release engineering, platform engineering, or backend infrastructure roles.
    • Strong experience with high-performance distributed systems and production-grade backend services.
    • Proficiency in at least one of the following: Go, Python, Java, or similar backend languages.
    • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
    • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, containerization, and modern deployment architectures.
    • Experience with build systems and release tooling, including Bazel or similar reproducible build frameworks (strong plus).
    • Proven ability to design and manage CI/CD pipelines in complex engineering environments.
    • Strong understanding of packaging, versioning, and release lifecycle management.
    • Ability to work independently in fast-paced, small-team environments with high ownership expectations.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
    • Excellent communication skills to collaborate across engineering and customer-facing teams.
    • Interest in AI, LLMs, and emerging technology ecosystems is a strong advantage.
    • Benefits

      • Base salary range: $150,000 – $175,000 USD
      • Competitive equity package
      • Comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision)
      • 401(k) retirement plan
      • Unlimited paid time off
      • Generous parental leave policy
      • Monthly stipend for co-working space or remote work support
      • Mental health and wellness support programs
      • Flexible remote-first work environment (with optional office presence in select locations)
      • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI infrastructure and enterprise-scale systems
      • Collaborative, high-ownership engineering culture.
